FloatHistory — Privacy Policy
Updated: 20 October 2026. Extension 1.0.33.
FloatHistory shows market sales history, float-range charts and rare patterns on CSFloat. The extension has no personal trade journal, account-profile reader or recognition-example uploader.
What the extension reads
Item names, float values, paint seeds, phases, modifiers and listing identifiers already loaded on CSFloat are used to identify the item you are viewing. On the Sell page, item attributes already loaded in the inventory page identify the selected item; the inventory is not uploaded as a collection. The extension does not request your personal trade history or account profile. It does not read Steam passwords, Steam Guard codes, payment-card details or CSFloat session-cookie values.
What is sent to your panel
History and pattern requests send the access key and the displayed item attributes needed for the result: name, float, seed, phase, modifiers and the requested history filters. An entire listing response, seller profile, Steam ID, personal trade journal, screen image or arbitrary page HTML is not uploaded. The connection-status response contains access capabilities, tariff and expiry, without account names, Steam IDs, personal trades or balances.
FREE activation sends a random installation secret so the same installation can recover its access. The server stores derived hashes and access records. Requests disclose your IP address, time, requested resource and ordinary HTTP metadata to the receiving server. Technical logs and abuse controls are used for operation and security. No GPS location, general browsing history, unrelated search queries or advertising profile is collected by the extension. Resource requests on CSFloat and the panel are still data processing and are disclosed here.
Local settings and permissions
Chrome local storage keeps the panel address, access key, installation secret, tariff state and display preferences. Current item matching uses temporary in-memory caches, not a saved personal trading history. The extension runs only on csfloat.com. Access to the chosen panel origin is requested separately when connecting; local-panel access is optional. Other sites are not read. Official service connections use HTTPS; loopback HTTP is available for a panel running on your own computer.
Existing records from older versions
Versions up to 1.0.31 included a local personal journal and optional recognition examples. Version 1.0.33 does not read, update or transmit those records and does not automatically delete them. If you used the journal, export it in your existing version before upgrading. Removing the extension deletes its local storage. Previously submitted recognition examples remain governed by the earlier retention policy: examples older than 90 days are excluded from the active dataset; physical cleanup is batched and backups are separate recovery copies. The new version sends no new examples.
The separate FloatHistory website
Optional Steam sign-in to the PRO website is separate from extension operation. The website stores the Steam account identifier and session/access metadata needed for that sign-in; the owner's private server journal, if used, remains a separate website feature. This extension does not read or synchronize that journal. The official website and its server logs are operated by FloatHistory; a custom panel has its own operator.
Use, retention and contact
User data is used only for the described features and service operation, not sold or used for advertising or unrelated profiling. Access records remain while needed for access administration, operation and abuse prevention; logs and backups are separate server records. You can change local settings, remove the extension, or contact admin@floathistory.su about server-data deletion and retention. No automatic server-data deletion is implied by uninstalling the extension. All executable extension code is included in its package.
